Opportunities to Serve at "The Feet"

Come and serve alongside us. Lead praise and worship, share testimonies, participate in drama, share scripture, teach, preach. Help prepare and serve a meal during the week, or come serve on a Wednesday evening in the fall or spring.

Join us on a Saturday or Sunday. Our hours are Monday through Saturday from 8 a.m. until around 1 p.m., Sunday from 6:30 a.m. until around noon, Wednesday evening from 6:00 until 9:00 p.m., and Friday evening for outreach from 6:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. We need individuals or teams who would commit to coming to the Feet once a month on a Saturday to cook and serve breakfast and lunch.

Collect the following items to donate to the Feet: clothing, especially men's clothing; shoes; underclothes; blankets and sleeping bags; small tents; hygiene items or kits; backpacks and tote bags; institutional size cans of vegetables.

Join us for a Friday night outreach. Come reach out to the homeless and poor with us. In the summer months, bring a case of cold water bottles with you to give away to the needy on the streets.

Come and volunteer as a driver for the Feet. We need daily drivers who would help make food and other donation pick-ups. We also need CDL drivers for driving our bus on Wednesday evenings, Friday evenings, and Sunday mornings to pick up the homeless for our services.

Join us during the Christmas holidays for one or both outreaches to needy families.

1. On the second Friday night in December (December 14th) come along on a hayride through the inner city, singing Christmas carols and giving gifts to the needy. Pray for families living in the inner city. Needs for this outreach: trucks to pull trailers, flatbed trailers, bales of hay to borrow, unwrapped new gifts for all ages to give away that evening, venison for the chili we enjoy at the end of the hayride.


2. On the third Friday night in December (December 21st), join us for Secret Agent Christmas. Consider "adopting" a family for Christmas, agreeing to provide a clothing gift and other small gift per family member, as well as a food box for the family to be able to prepare a Christmas dinner. Come on this Friday night to deliver to your family. We also need folks who would help with a "Birthday Party for Jesus" on that evening. We need several craft tables for children, a huge birthday cake for Jesus, food and drinks for the party, gifts for the children, etc. Pray for the daily ministry at the Feet and for those volunteers and staff who minister on a daily basis.

Prayerfully consider financial supporting the Feet. If you have the opportunity, share with your church or other groups you are a part of about investing in this ministry.

Pray with us and consider being a part of our vision to build a community center in the inner city with a gymnasium for enhancing our ministry to inner city children and youth. Other needs and future projects of the ministry include 15-passenger used or new vans, a new larger freezer to meet the need of increased food donations, and a security camera system.
