Our Board of Directors
Mike Myers - President, Co-founder
Mike is Co-Founder of Beautiful FeetMinistries and the President of the Board of Directors. He provides the vision and general guidance, as well as daily on-site leadership and management, a very "hands-on" Director.
Mike is a graduate of Mississippi State (pre-veterinary Science) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M-Div). He joined with other seminary students in reaching out to the homeless in the inner city of Ft Worth in 1981, and this developed into his life-mission and Beautiful Feet Ministries.
Sarah Myers is one of the Co-Founders of Beautiful Feet Ministries. Sarah leads the children’s ministry and helps in coordinating mission teams that come year round to “the Feet” from all over the United States. She and Mike have led Beautiful Feet for over 32 years.
Sarah is a graduate of Auburn University (Bachelor of Social Work) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (M-Div). She and Mike are the parents of 5 children.
Rueben Thompson - Vice President
In 1976, Reverend Reuben Thompson joined the United States Navy and served for three years. In 1979, he met Lorraine Dickerson and received an invitation to worship at St. Phillips Christian Church. He began to fellowship and in 1980 he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized on October 5, 1980.
On June 20, 1981, he and Lorraine were married and are now the parents of two sons, Joseph Keith and Reuben James. Preceding his tenure at Faith United Christian Church, he was associate minister of St. Phillips Christian Church (DOC) in Brooklyn, New York. Reverend Thompson served at St. Phillips in many capacities: deacon, youth advisor for the Chi-Rho Fellowship and the Christian Youth Fellowship, Christian education superintendent, church school superintendent, evangelistic committee chairperson, vice president and president of the Christian Men’s Fellowship, choir member and member of the hospitality committee.
He finds great joy in meeting and talking with people. Reverend Thompson served eight years as pastor of Faith United Christian Church (DOC) in Canton, Ohio. He became pastor of Community Christian Church on February 11, 2008. Reverend Thompson received his BA in Religious Studies from College of New Rochelle School of New Resources. He received his Master of Divinity at Lexington Theological Seminary.
Johnny Buckner - Co-founder
Johnny is Co-founder of Beautiful Feet with Mike Myers, Vice-President, and a Director, He has been a Director since the beginning. He is a resident of Mississippi and thus is the only Director who is not on-site at Beautiful Feet with frequency. None-the-less he is a valued member of our Director group.
For 30 years Johnny has served as an international missions leader, speaker, pastor, businessman and musician, mobilizing, training, establishing and influencing new and developing Christian mission movements targeting the least reached and most needy, particularly in Asia.
He is a graduate of Mississippi State (music) and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminar (M-Div), and is reasonably fluent in Chinese and Thai. He currently serves as pastor of the New Horizons Christian Fellowship in Starkville MS, Executive Director of New Enterprises International (an interdenominational mission), and President of Northeast Custodial Services (a family business).
Jerry Wright - Chairman
Jerry serves Beautiful Feet as a Board Member and member of the Marketing and HR Committees. He preaches from time to time at Beautiful Feet, is active in Kiwanis, is blessed with enthusiasm and a "give back" attitude seeking to help where he can. He is owner and President of AAA Glass, a Ft Worth company.
Lynda Tarwater - Secretary
Lynda Tarwater received her J.D. degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law in Fort Worth in 2004. She has been a criminal defense trial attorney for the past 8 years. In 2012, she opened her own practice and focuses primarily on the representation of indigent defendants. She is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court, Northern District, and the Supreme Court of the Chickasaw Nation.
She has also argued successfully before the highest criminal court in the State, is a member of the Texas State Bar College and the Texas State Bar Pro Bono College. She is also a volunteer with Federal Medical Center at Carswell Women’s Prison and teaches a Law, Ethics & Spirituality class for Bakke Graduate University in Seattle. She is a voting Board member of Beautiful Feet Ministries where she has volunteered for the past 11 years.

Doug McLeod - Board Member
Doug serves Beautiful Feet as a Board Member and lay minister, leader, teacher, and prayer warrior. He is a member of the Board's Spiritual, Strategic/Building and Finance Committees. He brings a business background to the Board – an entrepreneur and corporate executive for 22 years.
He was a founder of C.E. Services, which provided computer maintenance to users of large-scale IBM computers and peripheral equipment. He was a founder of Altai Software, which designed systems software for IBM computer systems. He is an ordained Deacon (1st Baptist Church, Keller TX), and answered the call to street ministry and to Beautiful Feet and has served here for the past 8 years.
Wes McDaniel - Board Member
A natural leader and savvy entrepreneur, Ideal Impact is the fourth organization Wes has created “from the ground up.” He began his career in the energy efficiency business in 1979 and is considered one of the best at building great organizations in the energy solutions business. During his career, Wes has held senior management positions at international companies and led the development of one of the largest energy solution organizations in the world, comprising 35 offices in the U.S. and five European countries. This organization was widely recognized within the industry as highly ethical and the most focused on customer needs. His leadership abilities and industry expertise have garnered him media coverage and speaking opportunities in multiple countries on energy conservation in buildings and how to grow a great organization. In addition, he has helped with the development of industry-related laws in both the U.S. and Europe. During Wes’ 30-year career, there has never been a client lawsuit under his part of the business, which he attributes to God’s grace and focusing on doing the right things for the client.
Wes graduated from the University of Texas Arlington with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and holds the Certified Energy Manager and Certified Demand Side Manager certifications.
Wes resides in Colleyville, Texas, with his wife of 20 years, Jan, and their two children, Bonnie and Tyler. He is a Senior Member of the Association of Energy Engineers, a member of Tau Beta Pi, and a member of Church at the Cross – where he serves as an Elder. He has been actively involved in Bill Glass Prison
John Dickens - Board Member
John is currently the Managing Partner of Omega Wealth Partners, an independent wealth management firm in downtown Ft. Worth. He is a Ft. Worth native who attended the University of Texas where he was a baseball letterman. After college, he played professional baseball for the Kansas City Royals from 1992-1996. He and his wife Laurie have two children and are members of Christ Chapel Bible Church.
Paul Boitmann - Board Member
Paul served as Chief Customer Officer and Senior Vice President at Newell Rubbermaid Inc. starting February 2012. Mr. Boitmann began his career in 1982 at Black & Decker and served as its Vice President-National Accounts, Vice President-Sales and ultimately Senior Vice President-U.S. Sales. He is credited with establishing and implementing Black & Decker's first training department and manual and with building a world-class sales force. Paul has served on the Beautiful Feet board since 2012. Paul also serves on the HopeXchange board, a nonprofit humanitarian ministry in Ghana Africa. He is currently a key advisor with the company Acts of Sharing of Austin, a leader in the new global collaborative consumption economy. He earned his BBA from the University of Texas in 1982. (Paul is married for 32 years to his high school sweetheart Kathie, and they have 3 children)
Jeff Kalbfleish - Board Member
Jeff is a staff member of Trinity Bible Church in Aledo, TX and a regular volunteer at Beautiful Feet Ministries. Jeff was self-employed for nineteen yearsin the residential/commercial construction industry.
He and his wife Stephanie have been married for twenty-one years and have two daughters.
Leonard Jensen - Board Member
Leonard Jensen has earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business
Management from the University of Phoenix and an AAS degree in Information
Technology from Tarrant County College in 2004. He retired from Lockheed
Martin Aerospace in 2013 as the Principle Quality Assurance Engineer for an
advanced technology aircraft program having been employed there for 34
years. He is currently a consultant for fighter aircraft modification and
He and his wife, Patricia, have been members of McKinney Memorial Church for 10 years. They served as volunteers for Community Hospice of Texas for 3 years. Leonard has served as a probate court appointed volunteer guardian through Guardianship Services, Inc. (GSI) in Fort Worth for 14 years including 3 years on their board of directors and received the "President's Award" from GSI in 2005. Leonard also served as a Texas Nursing Home Ombudsman (3 years) and Sunday school teacher and bus driver for local Baptist churches for 15 years.
Leonard started volunteering at Beautiful Feet in the kitchen in 2007. He loves serving others and gives our Lord and Savior all the credit.
